Handy Hints for the Bride
Press dress before wedding
Arrange for a dry cleaner to press your bridal gown before the wedding day. Atlas Dry Cleaners can do this for you free of charge.

Dress & Make-up
Place a pash mina scarf over your head while dressing. This prevents make-up and mascara accidentally staining your gown.

Go before you dress
Don't drink excessively on your wedding morning and use the bathroom before dressing. Manoeuvring in a confined space will prove difficult and you may mark or damage your gown.

Drop sheet
Ensure your photographer has a sheet to place on the ground for you to stand on, if you are having photos taken in a park or garden. Grass and mud stains will spoil your gown and may prove difficult to remove during cleaning.

Dress protection
Ensure the driver of the bridal vehicle has a towel to cover door locks and hinges, while you are getting in and out of the car. (Grease and snags will damage your gown). Also arrange with your driver to have a cold drink available for you in the vehicle.

Dress stains
Should someone spill red wine on your gown, don't use salt, soda water, vinegar, etc in an endeavour to remove the stain, as this will serve to set the stain. Just dab the area with a napkin and let Atlas Dry Cleaners attend to removing the stain.

Press dress after wedding
Arrange to have your gown cleaned as soon as possible after the wedding. This will improve your chances of obtaining a 100% result in the cleaning and preservation of your treasured possession.
Handy Hints for the Groom
Hair cut
We recommend you have a hair cut two weeks before the wedding day and just a trim the day before. This will ensure your hair sits better on the day.

Shaving
Shave at least four hours before the ceremony in case you cut yourself. Blood spots on your collar will spoil photos.

Handkerchiefs
Ensure you carry at least two handkerchiefs to remove any perspiration before being photographed. This will prevent shine and reflection in your photos.

Polish shoes
Make sure you polish your shoes the day before your wedding.

Flower
If you are intending to wear a flower in your coat this should be placed in the left lapel.

Bow tie
A bow tie should ideally sit in front of the winged collar if you are wearing a dress shirt.

Brownie points
On your wedding day be sure to hug and thank both your parents and parents-in-law (This will score you many brownie points).

Brownie points 2
On your wedding day be sure to tell your bride that she is beautiful and that you love her very much.
